GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (KSNW) – Dollar General has announced it is purchasing three former Walmart Express locations in Kansas that were closed earlier this year.

Dollar General said in a news release it expects the stores Rose Hill, Hillsboro and Columbus to open sometime in October 2016.

“Dollar General is excited to add these locations to our existing store base. We look forward to the opportunity to better serve our customers in these communities by continuing to provide the convenience and value they expect from Dollar General,” said Todd Vasos, Dollar General’s chief executive officer.

Dollar General also said it expects to operate fueling stations at the new locations.
