President honors Kansas City Royals championship

WASHINGTON (KSNW) – President Barack Obama welcomed the 2015 World Series champions Kansas City Royals to the White House on Thursday.

The president honored the team and their championship. The Royals presented President Obama with a team jersey with his name and the number “44” across the back.

The Kansas City Royals won their first World Series crown since 1985 back in November, rallying to beat the New York Mets 7-2 in Game 5.
