WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Wingnuts will be hosting a Pokémon Go Night on Friday as they open up a series against the Sioux Falls Canaries at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
Lawrence-Dumont Stadium has three Pokéstops that can be accessed within the stadium’s gates. Additionally, on Friday the Wingnuts staff will be dropping Lure Modules at these specific locations, in order to bring more Pokémon to the area. Fans will have access to all three locations with the purchase of any ticket to Friday night’s game against Sioux Falls. The modules will be in place from 6:00 p.m. when the gates open, until 10:00 p.m. Tickets start at $8 the day of the game.
Friday night is also Scout Night, with groups of Boy and Girl Scouts invited to camp out in the Lawrence-Dumont Stadium outfield after the game. The postgame activities will also include a fireworks show.
The Wichita Wingnuts return home to begin an eight-game homestand Tuesday evening at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. The homestand will begin with a doubleheader against the Joplin Blasters. First pitch for game one is set for 5:05, and game two will follow roughly 30 minutes after the completion of game one.
