Police want Pokemon Go players to follow the laws

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Pokemon Go is the a popular game right now, and the Wichita Police Department wants to remind residents of several laws.

Police say to follow the city’s pedestrian ordinance. It ensures the safety of not only yourselves, but also the drivers on the roadways.

Officials say all parks are open between 6 a.m. and midnight. They are closed between midnight and 6 a.m. They also say that you should be respectful of private property and trespassing signs.

“The Wichita Police Department likes to see citizens out and involved in the community but we want to stress the obedience of all local ordinances and laws to ensure the safety of the Wichita citizens,” said Officer Charley Davidson, Wichita Police Department.

The Wichita Police Department wants everyone to have fun, but also to stay safe while playing the addicting game.
