City moves ahead with the sale of Hyatt

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita City Council decided to move forward with the sale of the Hyatt with billionaire Phil Ruffin on Tuesday.

On June 22, the city received two offers for the purchase of the Hyatt.

One bid was by Riverfront Partners LLC was for $10.4 million. The other, submitted by Phil Ruffin, is for $20 million.

City officials reviewed both offers and recommended going forward with that offer.

A final agreement could be before the city council in the next 60 days.
