WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Officials are investigating what was the scene of an active meth lab. It happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 63rd Street South and West Street.
An employee of Oxy Chemicals found tire tracks in an area where there shouldn’t have been any. The employee followed the tracks and discovered a meth lab. The employee called 911.
Sedgwick County deputies responded and called for the bomb squad due to the hazardous chemicals in meth. The bomb squad confirmed to KSN News that it was probably an active meth lab at one time. Officials remained on the scene waiting for a contractor to arrive to clean up the chemicals.
