Police chase suspect after shots fired call in Valley Center

VALLEY CENTER, Kan. (KSNW) – Valley Center police chased a suspect early Thursday morning after receiving a shots fired call. It happened around 6 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress with shots fired. The suspect fled. Park City officers later found the suspect vehicle and a chase ensued.

Police pursued the suspect through Wichita to Derby and Haysville. Officers used spike strips to stop the suspect. Police arrested one suspect at 51st and Sycamore Street about 45 minutes after the chase started. A short time later the second suspect was located by Park City Police Officers and taken into custody.

The two suspects were booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on multiple charges including aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and more. The investigation is ongoing.
