Crime Stoppers looking for tips on stolen construction equipment

Crime Stoppers in Wichita is looking for tips to help solve a crime where a $75,000 skid loader was stolen last February.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in a case involving a piece of stolen construction equipment.

The incident occurred between 5 and 6 p.m. on February 18th when thieves stole a 2015 Caterpillar Skid Steer Track Loader from an area near West Pawnee and South Richmond Streets.

Detectives say the skid loader is yellow and black in color and has a PPJ Construction logo on its side.  The equipment has a value of about $75,000.

Surveillance video in the area shows the suspect vehicle is a mid- to late-2000 Ford Super Duty pickup pulling a trailer.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111, send a tip by text message to CRIMES (274637) and start the message with TIP217, or submit a tip online at WichitaSedgwickCountyCrimeStoppers.com.  All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.

The tipster who provides information on the incident that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.
