WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Reno County Sheriff said two people avoided injury when a car got stuck in front of an approaching train. It happened around 10:34 a.m. Monday near 6th Ave and N. Valleypride Road.

A woman was traveling eastbound when she came up to a railroad crossing. As the woman approached the crossing, the crossing arms came down.

The woman said she stopped and tried to reverse her car, but the tires were not getting any traction due to the rain.
