WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police took a man to jail Saturday afternoon for allegedly running at a roommate with knives, threatening to kill him.

Sgt. Joe Kennedy said the occurred shortly before 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the 5000 block of W. 9th Street when the 28-year-old man told officers a 25-year-old man who lived at the home charged at him with several knives while yelling death threats.

Kennedy said an argument over children who live in the home led to the incident.  He said there are separate families who live together in the home.

The incident happened outside, Kennedy said.  He did not believe the children were home at the time of the incident.

The suspect was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault.

No one was hurt in the incident.
