SALINA, Kan. (KSAL and KSNW) – Two people from Salina are facing felony murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a man from Nebraska in the parking lot of a Salina motel early Tuesday morning.
KSAL News reports that 21-year-old DiAntre Marquelle Lemmie and 24-year-old Amber Craig are facing charges that include felony murder, aggravated robbery, and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Adonis Loudermilk. Additionally, 34-year-old Tyi Daniel is facing a charge of obstruction apprehension or prosecution.
First responders were called to the Starlite Motel at 211 East Pacific Tuesday morning to a report of shots fired. They found Loudermilk on the ground in the north end of the parking lot. He died from a gunshot wound. Police said that several shots had been fired.
Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck says that Lemmie was identified as the suspect.
Lemmie was taken into custody following a short high-speed chase involving Salina police and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
