Kansas State programming student takes jab at Governor’s funding cuts

MANHATTAN, Kansas – A Kansas State University student is making a political statement about Governor Brownback’s education cuts by using an online game.

George Walker, a computer programming student, modeled a game after the infamous ‘Flappy Bird’, called “The Brownback Game“.

The game lets you to pick a school mascot from Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, Wichita State or Fort Hays State University.

Then, you have to navigate through the cutouts of Governor Sam Brownback’s head and stacks of money.

Walker says he created the game as a humorous way to express his disagreement with the Governor’s tax cuts.

He says it’s also a web development project to help him prepare for his future career.
