Woman injured in multi-car crash in Wichita

A three-vehicle crash on I-135 Thursday afternoon sent the driver of one of the cars involved to a local hospital.

WICHITA, Kan. – A woman was injured in a three-car crash in Wichita Thursday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred in the northbound lanes of I-135 just north of Kellogg about 4:40 p.m.

KHP said a 24-year-old Park City man was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup northbound when he swerved to the left to make an evasive maneuver causing the 52-year-old woman driving a 1989 Taurus to swerve to the left where she struck a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 31-year-old Wichita woman.

The woman driving the Taurus was taken to Wesley Medical Center with injuries.  The KHP report did not disclose the extent of her injuries.

Niether the man driving the pickup or the woman driving the Volkswagen was injured.

The Patrol said all three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crashs.
