Wichita man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

RENO COUNTY, Kansas – A 63-year-old Wichita man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Reno County. It happened Wednesday evening around 6:10 p.m.

A motorcycle driven by John Evans was headed northbound on Worthington Rd. near the curves at Parallel Rd.

The Reno County Sheriff’s Department says the driver misjudged the curve which caused him to wreck. He was traveling between 60 and 65 mph.

Evans was flown to a Wichita hospital by EagleMed. He suffered possible internal head, neck, and back injuries.

The Reno County Sheriff’s Department says Evans was not wearing a helmet.
