Wichita man sentenced to life in prison for child sex crimes

WICHITA, Kansas – A 22-year-old Wichita man was sentenced on Tuesday to life in prison for engaging in sex acts with two children.

Aaron Cessna was sentenced to life in prison on charges of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

On March 16, 2014, Wichita police were dispatched after a business found a cell phone containing photos of child pornography.

An investigation by detectives with the Exploited and Missing Child Unit identified the owner of the phone as Cessna.

The cell phone had video of Cessna engaged in various sex acts with two different children, both of whom were under five years old.

Cessna will be eligible for parole after serving over 51 years in prison.
