Police make an arrest in North Waco homicide

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police on Friday made an arrest in the city’s latest homicide. The homicide happened last Monday night in the 2600 block of North Waco.

The victim, 19-year-old Samuel Meza, was shot in the hip during an argument. Police tell KSN News Meza died on Friday.

Also on Friday, police arrested 19-year-old Arturo J. DeSantiago in connection to the shooting. He is facing second-degree murder and negligent manslaughter charges.

Police say the attack was gang related.

DeSantiago’s bond was set at $350,000.
