HUTCHINSON, Kansas – Hutchinson police are still looking for a man who escaped during a standoff Tuesday night.

Police say they got reports that a man they had been looking for was in a home on East Sherman Street.

Offices evacuated nearby homes while trying to make contact with the man.  When they finally got inside the house, he wasn’t there.

“He must have got out a window or some side entrance,” said Hutchinson Police Captain Troy Hooper. “We had the front and the back of the house, the front door and the back door covered at the time.”

Police are still looking for the man who they say has felony and misdemeanor warrants.
