WICHITA, Kansas – Two house fires kept crews busy Wednesday morning. One was in southeast Wichita in the 4200 block of South Greenhaven.
When fire crews got the call, they heard that two children might be trapped inside, but when they arrived, everyone was already safely outside.
They got the blaze out quickly. There’s a lot of damage, and it could be a total loss.
The other fire happened south of Haysville in the 9400 block of South Meridian. A passerby and a neighbor noticed flames coming from the house.
They knocked on the door and then entered the home to check for people inside. That’s when they found a woman asleep. They got her out of the house safely. Nobody was injured.
The cause is under investigation.
