WICHITA, Kansas (KSN) – A local woman was treated like royalty Wednesday at a party fit for a princess.
Several area businesses got together to help a 93-year-old woman remember to dream
When asked what she’d always dreamt of, Iris Giffords said she’s always wanted to be a princess.
To make her wish come true, Pioneer Carriage provided a horse-drawn carriage, I Do Bridal donated a gown, and Hereford House restaurant at Terradyne Country Club was the site of the queen’s high tea.
“People just came on board and were so gracious and helpful and giving and we just had to wait for the day is all,” said Teressa Hatfield of Glenn Carr House.
The Glen Carr House, an Alzheimer’s care facility in Derby, puts on these Remember to Dream events once a month to help their residents.
