WICHITA, Kansas – Kansas will conduct a statewide tornado drill Tuesday. The drill will take place at 6:30 p.m., and the sirens may sound in your area. Some counties in northeast Kansas have canceled the drill until Thursday.
The annual statewide tornado drill is part of Kansas Severe Weather Awareness week.
During the drill, people are urged to practice seeking shelter. The best spot is an interior room without windows in the lowest level of a building.
