Wichita-Collegiate beats Hugoton in boys 4A-DII title game

EMPORIA, Kan. (AP) – Zack Larsen scored 15 points to lead Wichita-Collegiate to a 68-49 win over Hugoton in the 4A Division II state championship on Saturday.

After being tied at halftime, Wichita-Collegiate surged to score 29 points in the final quarter to Hugoton’s 13.

Austin Waddell and Cody McNerney both scored 13 points for Wichita-Collegiate, and Larsen made six of his eight free throws.

Parker Titus scored 21 points for Hugoton, and Zack Leininger grabbed 11 rebounds.
