Jackson Heights beats Sacred Heart in boys 2A title game

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – Wyatt Olberding scored 27 points to lead Jackson Heights to a 64-55 win over Sacred Heart in the 2A state championship on Saturday.

After a close first quarter, the Cobras entered halftime with a 14-point lead over Sacred Heart. The Knights outscored Jackson Heights for the rest of the game, but not by enough to close the gap.

Olberding sunk five 3-pointers and grabbed eight rebounds, and his teammate Zane Richter scored 26 points and got nine rebounds.

Sacred Heart’s Quinn Riordan led the team in scoring with 13 points, while Jerod Toogood notched 10 points and got 12 rebounds.
