Former Wichita teacher pleads guilty to sex crimes

WICHITA, Kansas – A former teacher at Heights High School has admitted to a crime. Last May, Alan Martens was charged with unlawful sexual relations with a student.

On Monday, he pleaded guilty to attempted unlawful sexual relations. He will be sentenced in April.

Last May, the Wichita School District told KSN News Martens was in his first year teaching at Heights when he resigned.
