Teen injured in Wichita stabbing

WICHITA, Kansas – A 17-year-old boy is in the hospital after police say he was stabbed. It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday evening near 19th and Garland.

The boy’s mother called police reporting her son had been stabbed. The boy was taken to the hospital in serious condition with stab wounds to the stomach. He is expected to survive.

Police say the teen approached another person he believed slashed the tires of his silver Ford Mustang. The suspect cut the teen in the stomach.  So far, no arrests have been made.
