Fort Riley soldier sentenced for sex crimes

TOPEKA, Kansas (KSNT) — A Fort Riley solider has been sentenced to two life sentences for sex related crimes in Geary County.

James Henning was sentenced Thursday on the 10 convictions which include two counts of aggravated indecent liberties, three counts of criminal sodomy, four counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of rape.

The life sentences were ordered to run consecutively, which means he won’t be eligible for parole for 50 years. He will also have lifetime post-release supervision and electronic monitoring.
