3.9 magnitude earthquake felt across southcentral Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas – The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded near McCord, Oklahoma Thursday morning.

It happened just after 10:30 a.m. The epicenter was located 14 miles south, southwest of McCord. The quake was about three miles deep. There were no injuries or damage.

The quake was felt as far as Newton and Wichita.
