3 Junction City men arrested in kidnapping, shooting

JUNCTION CITY, Kansas – Three people are in jail following an attempted murder incident in Geary County.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Office reports that officers responded Tuesday evening at 5:49 to Shandy Lane near Milford for a report of a more than one person being kidnapped and robbed at gun point. During the incident, one of the victims was shot in the head with a semi-automatic handgun, this victim, according to the Sheriff Tonly Wolf, required only minor medical treatment.

Sheriff Wolf says up further investigation, a search warrant was used at a residence on Johnson Drive in Junction City that resulted in the seizure of marijuana, numerous guns and suspected stolen property.

Police say as a result Michael White, Erick Wiseman and Ronald Haywood Jr., all of Junction City were arrested for attempted first degree murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. They are being held without bond pending first appearance at the Geary County Detention Center.
