Two injured in Butler County crash

EL DORADO, Kansas – Two people were injured Saturday in a vehicle crash involving a pickup and a semi.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the crash took place on U.S. 54 Highway about 3 miles east of El Dorado around 7:20 a.m.

The Highway Patrol said a semi was pulling out of private drive onto the highway when a westbound pickup driven by a 74-year-old El Dorado man struck the cab of the semi.  The two vehicles then came to a rest in the roadway.

Both the pickup driver and the 44-year-old Escanaba, Michigan man driving the semi were taken to Susan B. Allen Hospital in Eldorado.
