WICHITA, Kan. – A 75-year-old man was beaten and robbed inside his home in west Wichita Friday morning.
Wichita Police said at their daily media briefing Saturday the incident took place around 10:20 a.m. in the 2200 block of W. Douglas.
Police say two suspects in their 30s knocked on the man’s door. When he opened it, he told police they rushed in, punched him in the face, forced him to the ground and pointed a handgun at his face..
Sgt. Troy Nedbalek said the robbers stole the man’s television and his car keys then fled in a brown Buick Lucerne. The car bears the license plate 325 JAT.
Nedbalek said the man was expecting a city inspector who was coming to his home to look over some remodeling the victim was doing.
The suspects in the case are still at large.
