WICHITA, Kansas – The holidays are winding down but the spirit of giving is always in high demand.
The Land O’ Lakes company met that demand by meeting another demand for cheese.
40,000 pounds of cheese was donated to the Kansas Food Bank by Land O’ Lakes, delivered on 20 pallets Wednesday morning.
KFB officials said cheese is something they rarely receive due to limited shelf life and this donation will be felt across the state as they serve 85 Kansas counties.
The cheese will be distributed on Monday to the Food Bank’s hunger-relief partners.
