Weather causing scattered travel problems in Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas – Winter weather is causing some scattered travel issues and closings across parts of Kansas.

  • Harvey County is reporting some water over the roads at W. Dutch and N. Mission.  A few county roads are seeing some minor flooding.
  • Ford County in western Kansas is getting some snowfall accumulation on county roads but so far the snow hasn’t caused any traffic accidents.
  • McPherson County reports several flooded or closed streets in McPherson.  Some roads in the southeast part of the county around Moundridge also are closed.
  • Marion County reports some road closures in the north and northwest parts of the county.
  • Barton County reports flooding.
  • Counties along and near I-135 from  I-70 to the Kansas/Oklahoma border have areal flood warnings.
