Five-month old one of 3 people injured in crash on I-135 North

WICHITA, Kansas – Three people from Hutchinson were injured in a one-vehicle crash on I-135 North of Wichita Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria was northbound just south of the North I-235 interchange around 3:40 p.m. That’s when a 25-year-old Hutchinson man driving the car lost control of the vehicle as he was changing lanes.

KHP says the car struck a pole to a K-DOT overhead sign.

Sedgwick County dispatchers say a 24-year-old Hutchinson woman and a five-month old Hutchinson boy were also were injured in the crash. Dispatchers said the child was taken to Wesley Medical Center in critical condition.

The Highway Patrol said all three occupants of the car were wearing safety restraints.
