Police: Woman hits man with baseball bat during argument over Christmas lights

WICHITA, Kan. – A woman who hit her domestic partner with a baseball bat during an argument over Christmas lights was taken to jail early Saturday morning.

Wichita Police Sergeant Kevin Kochenderfer said the 44-year-old suspect was arguing with a 33-year-old man about 6:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of W. Second St.

Kochenderfer said the woman allegedly hit the man in the head with the bat causing a concussion.

When officers arrived on the scene they discovered the woman had outstanding warrants.  She was arrested and taken to the Sedgwick County jail.

Police say before the woman was taken to jail she was first taken to a hospital to be treated for cutting herself with an unknown object.

The man was taken to a hospital for his head wound.  His condition is not known at this time.
