Suspects make first court appearance in Mossman homicides

WICHITA, Kansas (KSN) – Three men who were arrested in connection with the shooting of two people in the 2500 block of E. Mossman on December 1 made their first court appearance Wednesday afternoon.

Nineteen-year-old Johnathan Carter, 24-year-old Brent J. Carter and 19-year-old Jamion D. Wimbley appeared before Judge Joe Kisner in connection with the murder of 55-year-old Betty Ann Holloman and 24-year-old Benton Oliver on December first.  Johnathan Carter is charged with one count of first-degree murder.  The other two suspects are each charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Both Brent Carter and WImbley were arrested on Friday, December 4 at separate locations.  Johnathan Carter was taken into custody Tuesday in the 1900 block of E. 11th Street North.

Bond for each of the suspects was set at $500,000.  They will have their preliminary hearings on December 23rd.
