WICHITA, Kansas – A 20-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed at a home in the 1600 block of South Erie around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police report that the man’s 21-year-old sister called 911 and reported that her brother was dead. When EMS arrived, they found the man in critical condition with more than 25 stab wounds on his body. He was transported to the hospital where he underwent surgery and is now listed in critical condition.

The man’s 18-year-old brother, Demigea Dilley, was home when police arrived. He had cuts on his hand and was treated and released. Police interviewed the 18-year-old and subsequently arrested him for one count of attempted first-degree murder.

The three siblings lived in the home.

Police say there is no police history between the brothers and could not say why they were arguing. The sister was not home during the stabbing.

Neighbors reported that they heard yelling but didn’t see anything.
