LINCOLN, Neb. – The Wichita State volleyball team knocked off K-State University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday by scores of, 25-22, 17-25, 25-18 and 25-20.
WSU was led by Abbie Lehman who had a team-high 20 kills, Emily Hiebert with a team-high 58 assists, and Dani Mostrom with 23 digs. Senior Katie Reilly also contributed 15 kills.
The Wildcats were led by Brooke Sassin who had 18 kills and Katie Brand who racked up a team-high 45 assists.
The Shockers will return to action again Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., as they take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
