Woman arrested when 24 pounds of meth found in car in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police says a Washington woman was arrested over the weekend after 24 pounds of crystal meth was found in her car during Eugene traffic stop.

The Oregonian reports a drug detection dog discovered the drugs in a hidden compartment.

Fifty-five-year-old Teri Baker of Kent, Washington was stopped for speeding on Interstate 5 near milepost 195 in Eugene on Friday evening.

She was arrested and held in the Lane County Jail for investigation of drug charges.
