Winfield school employee arrested on charge of felony theft

WINFIELD, Kansas – Officials say a USD 465 Winfield employee was arrested and placed into the Cowley County Jail on the charge of felony theft.

The employee has been identified a Robert Eickleberry, Director of Technology for the district.

Last Friday, a police report was made by USD 465 about missing school district funds.

During the investigation it was learned that the technology director was allegedly taking electronic equipment to Walmart and returning the equipment for a personal gain.

The Winfield Police Department with assistance from USD 465 was able to identify the employee. It is unclear at this time how much money or property is missing.
