WICHITA, Kansas – Marche Fleming-Randle, assistant dean of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Wichita State University, has been appointed to the president’s executive team and as assistant to the president for diversity, President John Bardo announced Monday.

Last week, many concerned students showed up for a diversity forum hosted by the university. Recently, students complained that there wasn’t enough diversity on campus. Now, a protest for tomorrow has been canceled.

Fleming-Randle joined WSU in 2007. As assistant dean, she has been responsible for student services planning and implementation, encompassing undergraduate recruitment activity, the enrollment process, and matriculation to degree completion. She consults with faculty and students on academic issues. She is also an ethnic studies lecturer.
