Citizen Police Academy class graduates

WICHITA, Kansas –  Several members of the Sedgwick County community graduated from the 53rd session of the Citizen Police Academy on Tuesday including KSN’s News Director Denise Killian.

The Citizen Police Academy is a 13 week program designed to provide knowledge and background of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Wichita Police Department.

Interim Wichita Police Chief Nelson Mosely says this class is a great way to connect with community members and build relationships with them, which is important in regards to recent national events.

There are two sessions held each year, the next session will begin spring 2016 with classes held Monday evenings 6:30 to 9:30.
