WICHITA, Kan. (KSN) – A man who told police he was waiting for a friend Friday night was robbed at gunpoint by two men of his cell phone and his car.
Wichita Police say the incident began about 9:45 p.m. near Central and Green in east Wichita when the 30-year-old victim said he was waiting for a friend to get off work.
The victim said he was approached by two men, one armed with a handgun, the other with a BB gun, who forced him into the passenger side of his vehicle.
He told police after threatening him, the suspects drove him to a location they believe to be the 2900 block of N. New York where they robbed him of his cell phone and his 2000 Toyota Corolla.
Police say the man was not hurt in the incident.
His vehicle bears Kansas License plate 128 GZH which officers say is registered to Steps of Life Ministries in Derby.
The suspects are still at large.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
