WICHITA, Kansas – Although Halloween is usually considered a children’s holiday, according to a new national survey, increasing numbers of furry kids are getting in on the fun. That includes dogs at the Heartland Animal Hospital on Tuesday.
A survey of 3,000 U.S. dog parents determined that Kansas in number 26 in top Halloween states. Forty five percent of Kansas dog owners dress up their pet. Eighteen percent give their dogs extra treats on Halloween. Nineteen percent take their dogs trick-or-treating with them.
