WSU, Wichita police respond to bank robbery in Wichita State campus

WICHITA, Kan. – Authorities currently are on the scene of a robbery at the Commerce Bank inside the Rhatigan Student Center on the WSU campus. WSU2

The WSU Police Department issued a statement that said at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday an unidentified male entered the Rhatigan Student Center Commerce Bank branch and threatened staff members.

Officers say the robber made off with an undetermined amount of money. No weapons were seen or indicated. No one was injured in the hold-up.

Police say the suspect left the area on foot through the southeast doors of the building heading east.

Officers from the University Police Department responded to the robbery and are investigating the crime.
