OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – A man’s love and passion is now a memory after auctioning off more than 100 classic cars Saturday in Aurora, Nebraska.
Harv Bish said he has no regrets about letting go of his collection.
“Not really. I’ve had a lot of fun with them over the years,” Bish said. “Now it’s time for someone else to have fun with them.”
Bish, who turns 86 next month, decided he didn’t want to burden his four children with unloading his car collection once he’s gone, so he hired an auctioneer to tidy things up.
Each of the four children received a car years ago. The boys kept theirs. The two Chevys that belong to the girls were up for auction.
“It’s his hobby, not ours,” said daughter Gina Aspegren. “But we had a lot of good memories.”
