Man who threatened to re-enact Columbine massacre at Mass. school to be sentenced

SUNDERLAND, Mass. (WWLP) – The man accused of threatening to re-enact the Columbine massacre at a Franklin County high school is expected to plead guilty.

A change of plea hearing for Nicholas Schauer of Sunderland is scheduled for October 29th. He was scheduled to change his plea to guilty yesterday, but that hearing was postponed.

Schauer was arrested last October after he allegedly made the threat on social media aimed at Frontier Regional High School in South Deerfield.

He was found competent to stand trial after undergoing a 20-day mental health evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital.
