WICHITA, Kan. – A 22-year-old Wichita man who was charged with making a criminal threat against the Sedgwick County courthouse pleaded guilty Thursday in Kansas district court.
Samuel McCrory pleaded guilty to making criminal threat and three counts of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon. Six additional counts of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon were dropped.
Sheriff Jeff Easter said McCrory posted on Facebook that he and others should storm the courthouse with weapons and kill officers if a defendant in a criminal trial in late July was found guilty. A jury found that the defendant, Kyle Carriker, was found not guilty of murder on July 30, 2015.
Judge Bruce Brown ordered McCrory to surrender all his guns and enter an anger management program.
