Police receive reports of counterfeit bills in south Wichita

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police have been getting multiple reports of people attempting to pass counterfeit $20 and $50 bills at drive thru windows, primarily in south Wichita.

Police were notified Thursday morning. Police say several businesses gave the bills back and let the suspect leave.

Police arrested one woman, but there were several suspect descriptions.

If you believe you have received a counterfeit bill, please keep the money, get as much suspect information as possible, and call 911.

Police say do not put yourself in harm’s way.
