Whole Foods is recalling some cheese due to listeria

Whole Foods is recalling some cheese because it could be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.

The recall covers all cut, wrapped and weighed Papillon Organic Roquefort cheeses with Whole Foods market scale labels.

It was sold in all Whole Foods stores nationwide and all sell by dates are affected.

So far, no illnesses have been reported.

Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Consumers with questions should contact their local store or call 512-477-5566 ext. 20060 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST.
