Facebook testing reactions to emotions

Facebook (NBC News)

Facebook agrees its like button is not the right sentiment for everything that gets posted on Facebook and a dislike button has been requested and debated.

So the social networking giant is now testing reactions to express emotions beyond like.

Facebook is testing the feature called reactions with users in Ireland and Spain.

it’s an extension of the like button with six reaction buttons or cartoon emojis.

The reactions are love, haha, yay, wow, sad, and angry.

Just last month, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed how the dislike interaction had been surprisingly complicated and that the company was working on a way for its one and a half billion users to express empathy with their Facebook friends.
