Dates set for Shocker Madness, Tipoff Luncheon and Coaches Shows

WICHITA, Kansas — Wichita State will ring out the old year and bring in the new at its annual Shocker Madness basketball kickoff, Thursday, Oct. 22 at Charles Koch Arena, Home of Devlin Court.

This free event begins at 6 p.m. with a special championship ring presentation in honor of the men’s and women’s 2014-15 Missouri Valley Conference titles.

Later on, fans will get their first look at some of the newest Shockers in an evening of fun that also includes a slam-dunk contest, three-point shootout, and scrimmages from both WSU teams.

Season ticket holders will have an early opportunity to pick up their 2015-16 ticket books. Primary account holders may stop by the Shocker Ticket Office at any time during the event.

Due to time constraints, student-athletes will not be available for autographs.

Tipoff Luncheon Tickets On Sale:

The 2015-16 Shocker Basketball Tipoff Luncheon is set for Thursday, Nov. 5.

The lunch will be held inside the Aetna Multi-Purpose Center at Charles Koch Arena. Fans can enjoy an early Thanksgiving lunch, while head coaches Gregg Marshall and Jody Adams introduce their teams and preview the upcoming season.

Tickets are on sale now for $25 each. To order, call the Shocker Ticket Office at 316-978-FANS (3267).

Coaches Shows:

The weekly Gregg Marshall and Jody Adams Shows call-in shows return to the air on Nov. 2 with live broadcasts from Deano’s Grill & Tapworks, at the corner of 21st and Webb.

Men’s basketball coach, Gregg Marshall joins host Mike Kennedy from 6-7 p.m. and women’s coach Jody Adams follows from 7-8 p.m.

Fans who can’t attend in-person can listen on 1330 KNSS, online at knssradio.com, or through the Tune-In App. Podcasts will also be available on the KNSS website afterward.

The Chris Lamb Show also continues through the end of volleyball season with half-hour shows.
